I love maps.

The most embarrassing things about having a geography degree are:
a) getting lost and b) being unable to re-fold the map that envelops you and all those around you.

For these badges I used the duplicate maps from a box of 50 found at a car boot sale, cut them up along the grid lines and folded them. Whilst doing this I learned many things, found places that I would like to visit, remembered symbols that I had forgotten and imagined landscapes.

Each badge is labelled with the area to which it refers, so if you are going on holiday or out for a walk, buy the appropriate badge. If you get lost you can unfold it and find out where you are.

A word of warning, most of the maps are at least 30 years old. Much has changed …

Maps. Plywood, paint.
Each badge 4 x 4 cms.
2007
